However, some don't think so highly of Manning...From last week...Originally posted by bobman1235
Despite what everyone seems to think, I don't think Indy looked anywhere near unstoppable against Tenn. Peyton Manning seems to be on everyone's list of people they have to kiss up to, but I just don't see it. I saw him make some TERRIBLE plays and every time he screams at everyone around him. Such bad sportsmanship really turns me off to him I guess. Don't get me wrong, the guy's a great QB, but he's got a lot of great people (O-Line, receivers, Edgerrin James) around him that help the image.
Maybe not unstopable against the Titans....but darn near unstopable against Green Bay. They could have scored 60 or more if they had not decided to run some clock in the second half. And as far as Manning yelling at someone...I've watched him enough to know that when HE makes a mistake there is no yelling at someone else...he takes the blame himself. BUT....when someone else screws up he let's them know. What may look like a "TERRIBLE play" on his part is often a missed read or route or blocking assignment on another players part. Some call it bad sportsmanship....I call it a leader that expects everyone around him to have the same drive and desire that he does."Just because youre offended doesnt mean youre right." - Ricky Gervais

Broncos Win!!
Went four wheeling but heard parts of the game on the radio and recorded it for later viewing as well.
Can someone please tell me what in the hell is going on with the Buc's, Chiefs, and 49er's? Strange days indeed!! -
Well Dorsey looked fairly bad and he was going up against a Seahwawks defense that came ready to play.

Frank,
Bronco's looked great....but I wish Shanny would throw Q on the sweeps more, he is just not very effective up the gut.
BUT the positive... how about Lelie! The boy is finally starting to turn into a player. He has now had three very effective weeks. The Donks really needed this from him.
I would also like to see Nate Jackson in there a little more. Great hands he has. -
Jags beat my titans in the last 9 seconds of the game 15-12
titans suck this year...

They would be, if New England wouldn't whoop them EVERY TIME WE MET!
HAHA! See you in the AFC Championship, Indy.Originally posted by shack

Shack, I know you're mostly right. Manning is an incredible QB, but against a good defense, he's nowhere near unstoppable. The game with Green Bay was a shootout between two offenses, but Peyton was never pressured (more testament to his O-Line), and when he doesn't have pressure, he will always make a play. My problem is, I understand telling your players when they did something wrong (bad route, etc), but there's a fine line, and you don't see many other QBs in the league throw blame around like Peyton. I dunno, until I see Marvin Harrison run up to him and say "why didn't you throw it to me" and Peyton sit there and take it like a man 6 times a game, I'll always have that image of him being a cry-baby.
I guess I'm really just biased against their team. I've seen so many players on that team have the attitude that even if a team beats them, it shouldn't have happened. They said it last year in the AFC championship game, and this year again when tehy lost to the Pats opening night. I heard it from a bunch of different players' mouths : "We may have lost, but we were the better team". That's bull. The better team always wins, that's what makes them better. If you "beat yourself", you're not the better team for that game - the better team doessn't make those mistakes. If you will it, dude, it is no dream.
