Subwoofer hook up

I am sure you are tired of this subject, but really is there any difference in hooking up the front satellites through the subwoofer vs. using the sub out from the receiver to the unfiltered input of the subwoofer. I have RM 6600 with the PSW 450 sub and I cannot tell the difference. It seems to me it is more of a pain to wire through the sub.

If I do use the sub out from the receiver to the infiltered input what should my speaker settings be ?

Anyone ?

Using the sub-out is prefectly fine and easy, especially for the LFE channel. Just be careful of your receiver settings because of bass management. Also, as you implied, use the unfiltered input of your sub, or just crank the crossover dial on the sub all the way up.

Set SUBWOOFER to ON, so you can get the LFE channel routed to the sub-out, and set all the rest of the speakers to SMALL, to make sure your sub will handle all the bass from all other channels.
