Don't do that to me. I've got a bottle of Extra that I brought back from Jamaica last year that I've been saving.

Ah, Glenmorangie is lovely stuff. I was introduced to it by a Scotsman at a pub in London about 5 years ago. He was there when I got there, we started talking about beer and whiskey and when I ordered a Glenlivet he scoffed and started buying drams of the Glenmorangie. We chatted for about two hours and several drams before he got up to go to the bathroom and crashed to the floor. One of my proudest moments.

Lately however I just stick to beer...and the Oktoberfest brews are just in. I bought a case of Spaten yesterday. Yummy!

    Shizelbs,
Just a little Canon Elf Powershot S200 my little one bought me for Christmas, 2002. I do like it...

    woody,
Aye, nice it is... Cut my teeth on Oban, which I still enjoy, but the varieties of Glenmorangie are really nice, Portwood, Madiera Wood, etc. Their 18 year old is one of the better bargains in single malts.

    Ever tried Glava?

No, haven't tried Glava. Is it available in the US? I don't believe I have seen it down here, but I'll take a look next time I'm at the booze store.

My two very favorite Scottish beers are no longer available here in NC due to their high alcohol content - Tartan Special (which I have found to be hallucenogenic) and McEwan's Export Ale. If you like beer and can get them locally try them if you haven't...they have a nice "peatyness" similar to Scotch Whiskey.

I've actually found Glava here and for less than it was in Scotland. It's not a whiskey, but a whiskey liquor. Worth looking for...
