I´m going to install 4 DB675 on a Toyota Rav4 to replace the originals. I have a pioneer 50wx4 installed. Do I need an amp to power my new speakers?

no you dont need it, yes under most circumstances people blow their speakers off of non amped speakers than they do with amped speakers, they will also be able to play louder and will sound better at all listening levels

A h/u will play your tunes but it will be a lot dirtier than an amp, it will be a lot weaker than an amp and will NEVER sound better than an amp.

Kind of like, you dont need a Ford Super Duty diesel to tow your 40' boat. That F-150 would do it but wouldnt it be nice to have the proper equipment?
