Password Protection

Is there a way in Windows XP or through the use of some type of software where I can password protect specific files or folders? I want to keep personal notes on my computer instead of using a journal.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Right click on the folder and choose properties. Choose the 2nd tab called Sharing. See the check box called "Make this folder private"? Check that and only you can access it, that is if you are the only one able to log on using your login name and password.
That should do it for ya.
The bill is in the mail.

Thanks for the quick response. Is there a way to do this without using an account password? I have a home computer that is used by everyone in the household, but there's only one account that's not password protected, so everyone has access to it.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub
