I nominate this as the worst movie, with a name actor, I have seen this year.
I usually like the Coen Brothers work..
This is a dreadfully boring movie.
I hope it goes straight to airline fodder,
I sometimes can't sleep on planes...but I wouldn't have that problem if this were playing.

I thought it was hilarious. The distinct differences between all of the charachters is what made this movie good. It's not like some amazing new story or anything, it's just funny.

I agree, Audiencekillers, er oops, I mean Ladykillers was a steaming ****. I was sorely disappointed, as I like most of Tom Hanks comedic roles.

The only scene I'd call funny was when the gang was eating waffles at the Waffle House, and Marlon Wayans' character kept saying, "He brought his **** to the waffle house?!" That was funny, the rest of the movie sucked.

Correct. The rest of you are wrong. I thought it was wonderful dry humor.

We're not wrong, you're just not entirely correct.:p

I am a big fan of dry humor. My favorite example being "The Royal Tennanbuams" as well as the other Wilson Bros. movies, i.e. "Bottlerocket, Rushmore, and some others I can't remember the names of".

Ladykillers must be so dry, it is flaking apart and blowing away in the wind, like dandruff.

Gotta agree, this movie was pretty bad. There were definitely sparks of Coen brothers humor in it (which I usually LOVE), but it just for some reason didn't come together liek their movies do. I mean, honestly, I thought this was a slam dunk... Tom Hanks, the Coens, seemed like a match made in heaven.

Someone said "The distinct differences between all of the charachters is what made this movie good," but I think the characters were what was so stupid. They went WAY overboard defining these silly characters with too many quirks and just lost the story amongst them.

And <insert first name here> Wayans is just too damned annoying, I'm sorry.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

I was rather disappointed in this movie as well. Tom Hanks' character, especially his laughter, annoyed the hell out of me. To me the only bright spot was "The General." Oh yeah, that "IBS" guy got on my nerves as well.
