I was just wondering if there is a reasonably inexpensive adapter I could buy to hook up my dads record player to the line level imputs of my ingerated amp. I called radio shack and the guy told me that since both connections are rca it will work with no adapter but I know thats not the case due to voltage differences. Any ideas?

go back to radio shack and get a Phono Preamp. They're both RCA yes, but turntables work off of millivolt signals, not volts. They usually go for $20-25. You could also check online for one.

Here is one from parts express. Cost a little more than the RShack one. Probably worth the difference.

Alrighty I think I'll try a Radio Shack one.

Madmax ... thanks for the link. It might be worth the difference but after everything it'll probably be about $100 (cdn) which is a little more than I was expecting to pay. I'll give it some thought but it might be a little outta my desired price range.
