Guys
Trying to get some specs on the rt3000p satelite speakers.
The info on PolkAudio regarding the 3000's includes the sub specs. in the total frequency response.
Wondering if they have a different freq.resp.
than the rt55i's.
I know they have a higher effiency (92) than the rt55's.

This has been covered several times before. The satellites have a brick filter at 80Hz. So yes, they have a drastically different low frequency response than the RT55i's.

So..., having nothing below 80hz,
they really aren't meant to stand alone.
yes?

That would be my take, yes. I don't think you'd want to run an external sub up to 80Hz. if you could avoid it. I guess these would work OK for rear surrounds (since bass management usually cuts out < 90Hz. freqs) or possibly to augment your mains like Thomas has done (RT2000i with RT55i on top).

I found a sweet deal on a pair at GG, and I thought, since they match the efficency of the cs1000, they would be a decent main.
Guess I'll stay with my 1000's
