Hi Guys,
Due to a sedentary lifestyle and sitting on the couch listening to too much music, I have gained quite a few punds in the last few years. My doctor says that I need to lose 30 pounds in 3 months.

6 weeks later, I have lost a total of 17 pounds by changing my eating habits, excercising on the treadmill and by using my new toy- Trikke 8. I saw this device originally on an infomercial a few years ago but thought it was just another gimmick. Well curiosity got the best of me and I ordered one. 30 day return guarantee persuaded this decision.

I love the thing. I have been riding it for the last 6 weeks and don't want to get off of it. It is a lot of fun and a great workout also. My girlffriend wanted to see what the fuss was all about so she tried it. A little awkward at first, but after 10 minutes she said that we have to get her her own. I just ordered another one yesterday.

If anyone wants to try a cool, fun new ride. try this. Highly recommended. Best $100.00 purchase I made in a while.
Jeremy

P.S. I have no affilaition with this company, just a guy who sits at the office all day and can't rollerblade. :)

    Hi Danger,
Good to hear from you. Congrats on your weight loss. It sure is a pain the **** but worht it in the end. I find that eating less carbs and also eating 5 small meals a day have helped a lot. Good luck./

You mount your feet, and go side to side to go - and the faster you go side to side the faster you go...

Basically, it's a 3 wheel Razor scooter but it pivots at the point where the 2 back wheels meet the upright post........They're called TRIKKE's. Look at it as a 3 wheel version of inline skating.

HERE'S the company's website to look at the different models. I don't know what model he got for the $100, but none of them on that site are listed for that that I saw, but I only quickly glanced.

EDIT: Actually, just scanning through a couple of the Yahoo hits, HERE you can get the TRIKKE 8 for $100, but it's not the Sport, whatever the difference is.

Okey-Dokey. Looks....different. If it works to shed the pounds I guess that's all that matters.

Heh, I lost 3 pounds in a day just by getting sick, but hey, I have and overactive metabolism and I'm 17. ;)

btw, congrats on the weight loss, I may not know what it's like, but I do know it takes a crudload of willpower to change your diet, I had to do it for swimming.

    Hi Guys,
I bought the regular Trikke 8 for $100.00. I heard that the Sport model just has larger handlebars and not worth the money. If you have a smooth or newly paved area near where you live to ride, lot's of fun.

"lots of water.... no wait... that's a drowner's diet "

    LMAO
That used to be my diet...
A swimmers diet is basically, little or no protein, except the day before your sunday off, or w/e day it is, then you eat as much as you can; no milk products before big meets; nothing like cabbage, or anything gives you gas; caffiene is gone because it dehydrates you, (Ironic, eh?) etc.
Basically, it's carbs and fruits with a smattering of other items in the triangle so you don't die. Exciting eh?

However, this is the "orthodox" diet, people rarely follow it...

I've seen those things for sale and advertised. Never wanted one though.
I've been checking out bicycles lately and have they ever come a long way in the past 30 years.
