Portable media players are getting more and more popular these days. Is Polk Audio planning to come out with its own line of Earphones? Would be awesome to have earphones with the RTi sound quality.

Perhaps, but I doubt they would want to divert their R&D for headphones, headphones do take a lot to do right, and I know polk audio would, but the only problem is, the only people who would want to shell out the money for them would be people like us on the forum and DJs.

Portable media players aren't worthy of quality anything.Political Correctness'.........defined

Amen.
while we're on quality, can anybody here hear the difference between Burned CDs and Factory CDs with a high quality rig?
Once I got my AKGs I finally had another excuse for being against Music Piracy, "Quality Issues" -

I burn/copy factory CDs all the time. There are no differences between the factory release and their clone...
However, MP3's, like from Kazaa, etc - Sound like dog crap unless you found some special user that cares about quality...
So yes and no, depends on what you mean- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
But they are still those of us who use quality headphones on portable CD players. This year's PCDP's have been quite good....the Sony and Aiwa models sounded great, with Panasonic offering digital headphone amps. I am using either Sennheiser PX100, PX200, or MX500 as my commute headphones, with a pair of Grado SR60 running off of a Sony SCD-CE595 SACD changer. So if Polk Audio does come up with headphones, I will be all ears....

I do not see Polk making headphones....
Unless they stick some 6.5" woofers in there, then maybe- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
I know I'm probably gonna get kicked all across the world for sayin' this, but I really like my headphones. They sound as good as anything I've ever heard (I've only ever shopped at BB & CC for headphones, so I haven't heard really nice stuff), and they are amazingly comfortable. They're light, squeeze your head just the right amount; they seem perfect. Here's the thing: they're the Bose Tri-Port headphones.
Ok, stomp on me; but I still love 'em.George Grand wrote: »

Nothing is slated... but if you get enough people saying they want a pair, you never know what might happen.Brian Knauss

I completely disagree. But it doesn't stop me from using burned cd's for my demo music at work. No way I'm going to lose originals or get them scratched up. -

None of that SDA needed when you have headphones. I like to have all bases covered.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
