Remote Rack!

I made a remote rack today!
I was in shop, and he said we could build anything we want the last 20 minutes...
So I took 3 pieces of MDF and a piece of 1/2" Plywood and went to work...
The MDF is the back, bottom, and side construction, and 1/2" plywood is like a strip that goes across the top. I could have probally used another strip along the bottom, but I decided it is easier to access the remotes sticking them outward against the top piece than leaning them back...
Right now it is the color of MDF and (?birch?) veneered plywood...
Not to purdy, but is long enough to hold 8 remotes, and I have 6 remotes...anyone not wanting a remote wanna send me 2? lol
I'd post blurry pictures but I havnt been to my dads house in like 4 weeks

Better off than me, I broke the VCR remote by dropping it one too many times, hmm... I take that back, my little brother dropped it one too many times. -
I was thinking about making one of those myself... I'm only up to 5 remotes for the time being. Good idea.

Yeah....I would hang it on the wall, then I realized that I would have to go over there everytime I wanted the remote....
I think I may put castors on the bottom and tie a string to the rack so I can roll it over to me or something....HMMM
Maybe later...lol
I am one lazy person... and the rubber buttons on the remotes keeps them from sliding around....interesting...still could probally use another piece of plywood on the bottom- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
Hmm
Remote rack!- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
Now add a couple dividers to keep them from falling sideways and you're all set.

Well I was really thinking about if I were to get a new piece, etc...
I plan on getting a Uni remote soon, will see how much room that takes up...
or, i guess I could make like 1/8 or 1/4" dividers that slide in and out
but that would require a TIGHT fit, I wonder if I can do it! hmm
But, the remote buttons keeps them from falling over pretty well actually...- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -

$75, free ship
Get some felt, to line the inside, keep 'em from getting all banged up. If you want to get fancy, put some dacron under the felt, so they have a nice snug, but soft fit.

and
thanks for that idea!- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
You have the remotes laying on their buttons?!?! *shudders*
I'd build dividers so I could lay them on their backs (well, if I could build anything....).
But, good idea! You're getting pretty creative.George Grand wrote: »
