OK, last time I was at Tweeter, I was looking in the speaker rooms....
...in the room with the LSi15's, there was a pair of these.
Martin Logan Clarity
I did a side by side comparison with the LSi15's as best as I could in the environment they were in. I really do not see what is so special about them. I feel the LSi's handily outperformed them in all respects.
I realize that they are not the best from ML but they were pricey and offered pretty poor performance IMO for the price. They also irked me because I do not understand why that grille extend so far above the top of the enclosure. It did not seem to be an electrostatic or planar spekaer nor any kind of array so it baffles me as to what purpose it serves beyond looks. Does anybody know?
Given all of that, I'd lay my money down for a pair of LSi15's or 25's before the Martin Logan stuff.

I listened to some electrostats before getting the LSis and they are NICE. The way the sound evelops you was amazing... you can get great sound as you walk around the room. Too expensive tho. I would think they would be ideal in small to mid rooms to provide a full, encompassing sound as compared to conventional cone/dome drivers. Didnt listen to the level of detail and clarity etc as they were alread out of reach $$.System 1: Martin Logan Vantage, Rotel RC 1070, B&K Reference 200.2, Music Hall DAC 15.2, Yamaha 2300
