Definitive Technology BP10B Graph - In Room
This really shows the dips and peaks of my room...
It seems with no subwoofer on, I have a 70-80hz dip, and a 60-50hz spike....
However, the speaker DOES dig down pretty deep with only 125 watts out of the 300 it can handle....

Umm, not seeing what your seeing... -3dB is awfully high and room gain below room tune point isn't counter acting it until 35. Its dropping hard after 50 and like a rock at 25 (Not that it shouldn't at that point.)
I'd guess that the deep bass your hearing is just the 60Hz hump
I'll bet you can do better with some rearranging. What's it look like with the sub...There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. The bump around 50hz or w/e just dosnt seem to want to go away....
It hits pretty solid down to 50hz I thought... (The Def Techs)
Here is with the subwoofer on...I chose this setting after a few sweeps...
Note that this sweep has NO dip in it like the Polk/SVS combo
I tried disabling the crossover on the SVS, but between 90-70hz, there was like a 10-12db drop off.
Other senarios I tried all came up with a higher bump at 50hz...
85DB - 100hz
81DB - 15hz- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
Yup, your getting a big hump at the 55ish range, looks like room gain kicks in at 35 or so, Kick **** room.
I wish my house was mor stable so that I could rip out some of these charts....There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Yeah, bass is slightly boomy on some songs, but not to bad.
The BP10B needs more power to get the bass...
The BP6B has so much bass in the 80-50hz region that is rediculous...
My room dosnt rattle much until it gets in those 100db areas...- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
If my response looked like that, I'd end my life in a second!

Hehe...
My room sucks. I need to haul the BP10B down to my dad's house where it is a big open space with slab floors...
That would be more suitable, no?- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
