I am using RTi8's in my 2 channel system,I also have a 10" Velodyne sub,I was going to buy a pair of sda2b's but came to relize that I really didnt have the room for them, because they are just a hair wider than the 8's are.Anywho,I can trade up my 8's to a higher priced speaker without losing any money for one year,I want all your opinions on the lsi9 bookshelfs,I will drive them with a 225 wpc carver amp,,I listen to all types of music,I had a pair of Bostons for a while and liked them until it came to rock music, they were to warm...no pop,Ive heard the 9's once and was impressed,I will go listen to them again too,I just want some opinions...thanx

The Lsi9's continue to get rave reviews here (duh!) and just about every where else as well! I can't recall ever seeing a bad reveiw in any of the mags I read from time to time. I've got a pair and am very happy with the performance. They outperform many speakers costing 2-3 times as much. As with all speakers, placement is critical, so be prepared to spend some time tweaking the location.
BTW, Your Carver will be just fine with the 9's. -
Don't listen to Frank. He doesn't even own a single Polk speaker!

Frank said it best... they outperform most speakers 2-3 times their price. GO FOR IT!Never kick a fresh **** on a hot day.

I agree. The LSis are the best speakers I've ever personally witnessed.
-
I suggest you listen to any and all speakers possible, do in-home demos, etc...
Polk is great, but you may find better. You never know! Might as well look! It is your money ya know?
And forget speakers costing 2-3 times more, concentrate on the ones that cost the same eh- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
I sure do appretiate everybody's input...going to listen to them tomorrow
-
How did you like them?

I like:) I can trade up for about $200 plus tax...I'm leaning that way, their great on jazz, easly listening, mellow rock, just outstanding!I dont listen to a lot of hard rock, but I do every now and then and it has to be loud...AC/DC,ZEP,KISS,stuff like that I love loud and crisp, the RTi8's may have them in the rock department...but that would be it.
