Hi all Does anyone know if Svs has a show room in michigan. i was reading the owners guide and noticed that svs is out of Holland Michigan. Are they manufactured in Michigan and do they ship from Michigan or is it just their offices. Has anyone ever been there. I did a mapquest and it is about two hrs from me. i would like to eventually buy one however shipping worries me. i would also like to demo one. What do you all know.(Besides they are great).

bvette94, how long of a drive is it for you to youngstown? I live about an hour away and I can pickup directly from the factory if I set up a date and time, If shipping is that big of a concern to you, you could spend a day drive down, pick it up and drive back knowing you have full control.

LOL I work in Holland Michigan! That would be sweet if they had an office there. I'll have to ask them, too bad it seems they are now in Ohio.

I just found this on the SVS site
"and the SVS Financial Officer was soon inundated in his Michigan office." So it sounds like in th beginning only the Financial guy/gal was in Michigan. This was uner the about us section of the website.

No you can't. They will not allow anything other then shipping. I asked when I bought mine and I live 10min from them, there responce was because of Ins. they cannot have anyone pick-up orders.

What else does one need to know :D . I have only known of one person who was not happy with their SVS and I feel after fallowing the post that they just couldn't get it to fit in their decor . As for the rest of the people that have bought their subs myself included they are simply the best.

Yes, the financial guy lives in Michigan. The sales/marketing guy lives in CO. The head of e-commerce lived in NYC last time I checked. It's a virtual company in that respect. But R&D and production are both definitely Ohio based.

When did you ask? I asked them Sept 8th and they said that that pick-up was a-ok if you contact them ahead of time.

    From my e-mail...

...We can arrange a pick-up from our loading
dock but we would have to arrange the time with our shop manager since we
don't have any demo rooms or area for customers to visit.

I asked when I bought mine last year. They must have changed that rule since they moved into their new manf. facility. I stand corrected.
