Hey Folks,
My mom gave me a bunch of blues CDs to listen through and see if I liked any....

And I stumbled across this CD. This particular CD has excellent SQ (which is what first caught my ear), and he has a nice mix of piano, vocals, and guitar....

Any blues fan needs to check this out, he has another CD - but this one appealed to me the most.

I thought I would share -- I don't mind sending anyone a copy over the net, as long as you have broadband... 192 Bit Rate

I think he was like 17 or 18 when he recorded that album. Though you'd never know it.

    Yeah, the first song....

The Piano sounds really cool there. The entire CD is pretty cool. I have his other CD too..but I havnt really listened to it..

Have you listened to Eric Clapton & BB King - Riding With The King?

That is a REALLY cool CD, Eric Clapton in one channel, BB king in the other...them jamming out! VERY nice....

Well give the first album (Lie to Me) a good listen too. I think it is much better than Wander This World. It has a couple of good slow-burnin' blues songs on it (which the 2nd album lacked)...track 2 "Darker Side" and track 7 "A Quitter Never Wins" are both just exceptional. Darker Side is one of my standard demo tunes...really solid bass line and very forward sounding snare drum...and a smokin' guitar solo.

To me his vocals sounded just a bit too over the top on the second CD...kind of Joe Cockerish.

I saw him in a smallish venue (cap. 1500 or so) touring to support the first CD...I think he was 15 when it was recorded, 16 during that tour. Man, what a show.

I gave the John Lang album a listen. It's okay, but I kept feeling like I was listening to Michael Bolton's little brother. I guess I've got a tin ear.
