Are the 1.2tls, 2.3 and 3.1 tls the best speaker line polk ever produced.
and if they are is there any speakers that approach that performance
today. I own a pair of 3.1 tls that I bought brand new back in the day.
I was so impressed with their sound that i bought a pair of closeout
sda 2bs to use in a second room so i didnt completely deprive myself of
polk joy. I sold the 2bs last year and bought a pair of rt800i to use in
a Ht system. I use the 3.1 tls strictly for music and will never sell them.
( something about cold dead hands and Pry )
My apologies if this tread has already been done .

Thanks!

i think that the new lsi speakers that are coming out are going to be the ones, just a thought, but the ring tweeters are a great improverment, over the tri-lamiment tweeter. but got to wait for more reviews on them. thanks, joe

i think the SRT system may have been the best, i have never heard them, but they are specifically designed for matthew polk's home theater wants...

    Juice,
I have to agree the Srt are hard to beat. I had a chance to hear them about 5 years ago. Wow. But really at there price points it's really hard to beat the Polk Lines of speakers.

    David,

I use my 3.1's in home theatre. They work just fine.
When I want to listen to stereo... I just skip the receiver and go straight to the preamp & amp. I usually leave the PSW650 on to accompany the 3.1's. It adds quite a bit of bass boost - making them sound even better (my opinion).

Question: Can you write a little review comparing the 3.1's to the 2b's? I'd be curious as to what you think the differences are. Since you own both, you are in a unique situation.

Call me biased, but my 1.2 TL's and the SDA-1's for the smaller room are like ear candy to me!

I would not trade them for anything even though the newer lines are sweet too!

I still harbor the premonition that "bigger is better", at least for me!!!
