HDCD titles

The HDCD site does not work when searching for titles. Does anyone have a link to HDCD titles. Amazon has some, but I swear I thought there were many more titles then those.

i keep hearing that there are over 15,000 CD's out there with HDCD.. but i have a really tough time finding em.. what gives? maybe they just aren't labeled HDCD or something. but really are.

DB, I am under the same impression. I just bought a Denon DCM380 that has HDCD decoding and would like to try that feature out. I find many HDCD's on ebay but most look like pirated stuff from China.

A lot of HDCD-encoded CDs are not listed at hdcd.com or labeled as such. A list has been started over at head-fi.org to note any unlisted HDCD-encoded disc. There're also hybrid SACD that contains a HDCD-encoded CD layer, like the just-released "Greatest Hits" from Lee Ann Womack. And don't dismiss those Asian HDCD titles, sometimes they're legit items.

The reason I was down on some of the disks coming out of China, was because of a John Lennon CD that had all his hits plus some Beatles songs. One of the Beatles songs was Yesterday, a Paul McCartney Beatles song. I am sure some of the music CD's are the real McCoy, I just do not know which ones.

There are a bunch of HDCD encoded CDs that are not marked with the HDCD logo, for example the entire Doors catalog. Go figure!!
