SOLD

Typical solid as a rock Rotel build, rated at 120 wpc @ 8 ohms and 360 wpc @ 8 ohms in the bridged mode. I added Dynamat to the inside of the top. I also repainted the top of the case with a high quality matte black spray paint that matches the original. The face plate has one very small nick on the bottom front edge, it has been touched up and you'd have to look hard to see it as it's more on the underside of the panel.

WORKS PERFECTLY!!!

It will be packed to withstand the shipping companies. I prefer to ship FedEx.

PAYMENT: USPS Money Order, Cashier's Check or personal check if I know you well, ie: we've done business before.

The manual states that it will do 220 wpc at 4 ohms, so yes.

isn't dynamat sound proofing? why put tht in an amp?

Yes, it is sound proofing/deadening/vibration damping material and that's exactly why I put it on the metal cover. It helps keep vibrations from reaching the insides, therefore cutting down on any chance of added and unwanted distortion being picked up by the electronics. I used the "extreme" type Dynamat with the the metal foil which helps with unwanted RF. The Rotel is a solid built and well designed amp, but they cut a corner with that thin cover. This solved that issue.

And no Russ, not everything. Just the stuff that needs it.

I can't believe someone hasn't grabbed this amp yet. Priced under the Bluebook, clean as a whistle, 120 wpc, damping is 1000 and it's HIGH CURRENT rated at 80 amps, just what is needed with LSi's for example.

That's a steal for this kind of Rotel power. Whats the 4ohm rating Jesse?

    Cheers,

You should send it over to the old people site as well Jesse, who knows. It will at least increase the awareness.

It cracks me up sometimes when people you don't really know, want your stuff for either $5 more or $5 less than what you paid for it. If it is a longtime forum or internet acquaintance, I can see doing the favor. Repeat customers? Sometimes. But some yahoo who just happens to log onto the same forum as you once in awhile? RIGHT! Let me spend my time finding this piece, burning the gas too, cleaning it up, taking an hour to box it for bomb-proof shipment, to earn a $20 bill. I'd rather give it to the Waste Management guys for Christmas, IN ADDITION to their annual bottle of rum. At least they did something to earn it.

I'm wondering if the WAF is high enough for me to get this. That would free up my PA2000 to other duties. I've spend too much money on AV stuff lately and just bought a house.

Did you say 80A? That's as much as my H/K AVR but that's divided into 4 channels right now. 80A for the mains, 70A for the surrounds, 40A for dual centre, that should be quite enough for the LSi7's.

Not quite following your math there.

The AVR is 70A so that would be for the surrounds only if I got the Rotel. PA2000 is 40A and that is for the dual centre.

I just spend $1400 yesterday for the house so I will have to pass.

I'd have to say that both of the 980's that I have run pretty warm when cranked. I'm not sure why Faster's amp runs "really cool", maybe he doesn't crank it up, maybe it's subjective. Either way, I wouldn't run any amp in a space with no ventilation.

I guess i didnt mean really cool, I meant just warm,.. My amp is on the floor on a spiked platform all by itself.. no enclosure , nothing on top of it.
It still never feels HOT, in a cabinet any amp will get hot. The adcom i had did run kinda hot out in the open.. so i guess compared to others i have used. This is the coolest :)

    Ok, that makes sense. :)

When I think of hot, I think of too hot to put my hand on it. The Rotel doesn't get that hot.
