Hi
I'm trying to convince my wife we need a SVS PCi 25-31 or 20-39 to replace the polk psw 404 that could not fill the room 16 x 30
She will go with the hsu sft-3, but the svs pb1-isd is out as the picture looks like it wont match my existing polk rti10's
Now i would like to get the 20-39 for the same price, but from the pictures I cannot tell if you can put some plant/something else ontop of it.
Thanks

Yes...
But u will need to put about 4 rubber bands under the base of the plant to keep it from walking off on you
Wait a second, a Cylinder subwoofer -- hmm, I dunno about that. It may restrict air flow. I wouldn't do it...
If you could get a box subwoofer, yeah....- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
Box, yes, cylinder no, easy as that.There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time.-Menkin

Thanks, I think I will neglect to mention that to my SO, and once it arrives will try out "Opps honey, but nothing can go ontop of it"
Hopefully the next words are not from her "Well pack it up, i'm not having that in the family room"Equipment:

The STF-3 comes in black, as does the PB1-ISD. And they are about the same dimensions and weight. What is it in particular about the PB1-ISD (soon to be dubbed the PB12-ISD) that makes it unsuitable?"What we do in life echoes in eternity"

From the pictures on the website it looks more like the PB1-ISD has some gray speckle in it. And the HSU looks plain black.
After having the polk 404 which matched the speakers exacly, I am having trouble getting wife to accept anything that does not match exactly.Equipment:

Since she's already given you the thumbs up for the Hsu STF-3, what's the problem? Just buy it. If she ever complains about how it looks, just remind her that it was her decision.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

~~ Agree. I was chuckling about this last night and nearly responded. I think 'squish' was the sound my man's balls made the day he said "I do."
Just kiddin', squish, I hope you find a plant stand that reproduces low frequencies well when connected to an RCA cable. ;>}
