I have 2 LSi15 (front), LSiC, and 2 LSi7 (rear) attached to a Denon 3805. The other night I replaced the PSW404 with the LSiW sub-woofer.

What a differance!!! The bass coming out now is tremendous. It makes me wonder if the 404 was broken. I am hearing things now that I did not know was there. This is with Terminator 3, my favorite HT DVD, which I must have watched 15 times by now.

Also, I swear the overall sound quality has improved, although I cannot understand how a sub-woofer could do that.

I have the sub-woofer wired inline with the front speakers.

Man, that 3805 will struggle with the LSi.

    Try this:

    All speaks to small.
    Crossover to 80 Hz.
    Subwoofer to on/yes.
Sub cable to LFE (unfiltered) on the LSiW.
Subwoofer level to -5 on the 3805.

When playing DD/DTS make sure under "Surround Parameters" that the LFE channel level is set to 0 on the 3805.

Make sure the Dynamic Range Control for Dolby Digital is set to off/no in both the DVD player and the AVR (also under Surround Parameters).

Calibrate LSiW bass level at the plate amp of the LSiW to your taste.
