    Billm57-

    Welcome!
    How high is the ceiling?
Is the room mostly closed off?
    Or more open floor plan?

its closed off..has on doorway..rectangular..3/4 f is used for movie/tv viewing(all seating is in this area as well)..other 1/4 for media storage and computer stuff..the ceiling is about seven and 1/2 feet high and there is no draperies or anything..rug is a thin berber rug..i know that can make a difference sometimes (thicker rug and curtains)...Also I am using an older AV receiver ( Pioneer VSX451) .110 watts per channel-hopefully this will be ok to drive this system should I purchase it as Im not ready to upgrade the receiver-they are currently driving 2 Cerwin Vega RE-30's without a problem

    Billm57-

Think your system will work well in the room you've described. No cathedral ceilings, 7 1/2 feet tall, rectangular. 110 watts is plenty of power. Play around with sub position a bit, front corner gives most bang per watt.

oops..the receiver is 100 watts not 110-shouldnt make a difference-anyway im wanting to get rid of the Cerwins becasue they are just too big-hope I wont be sacrificing sound

10 watts won't matter that much.
Depending on what you vega's were like...
you will have to do some pretty good blending,
to get a satelite sub system to sound as full as a
    full sized speaker setup.
It's the lower mids that are hardest to achieve.
    Sub positioning is key.
    Play with it,
    dats what cha do.

This system would work great with your room the way it sounds. I used a Denon 2801 to drive this set in a 18 x 15 room with no problems. good luck!

CC will take back any speaker within 14 days for a full return. As long as the speakers are in perfect condition, you can exchange them towards new speakers for one full year. I'm pretty sure you need original packaging and everything though.

ive got another question-i hav enever owned a subwoofer and sats..i know the sbwoofer works best in a corner but im wonderin if anyone has ever put one in the bottom of an entertainment center-i have my cerwins in there now so that they dont take up floor space and have not had a problem with vibration or anything..how about the subwoofer-does it give off heat? am i looking at bad vibration problems??? I know it may sound stupid but i ahve no experince with subwoofers

i wouldn't put a subwoofer in an enclosed area, if that's what the bottom of your entertainment center is. if it doesn't vibrate, i guess you won't have vibration problems, but i am guessing with the 350 you're going to. you would be best placing it in or near a corner if possible...

JOhnny_how do you like the way music sounds on your 6600 in regular stereo mode? Mine seems to be lacking in this respect
