Very interesting, just wish they had more info, like who carries them.Political Correctness'.........defined

Eeek Aluminum dome tweeter. They sound neat but I'll wait for the Audiogon versions.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I had a pair of DQ-10's back in the early 80's, they were traded in part for the Polk SRS's I have at my farm in IA. The DQ-10's were pretty amazing, made the early Alan Parson's albums like I Robot come alive! These took a lot of clear area around the speaker, like you couldn't have anything anywhere close to them, and also took a lot of power to drive. I have a pair of HK Citation power amps in my storage room that I was using with the DQ-10's. The DQ-10's were also amazingly flat sounding, with kind of a tinny high end. I was just more impressed with the Polk/Yamaha combination I have now.DKG999

I have been very impressed with the alum. tweeter in the Dahlquist line-up. It is quick and not nearly as sharp as you might think - listen before you leap to conclusions.

Thanks for the tip on listening
I have heard a couple aluminum domes in my time. I didn't realize you were trying to sell a pair of Dahlquist's as well blow the bugle for their re-entry into the marketplace.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. What is your issue here? I posted a thread with some interesting reading. The fact that I don't have thousands and thousands of posts might make you think that I am just some "run of the mill" jackass. If you have some bias against the aluminum tweeter, then I guess it is your hang-up and not mine. What was the point of your even posing back other than to boost your count? I have been on this forum for quite some time now.... this is exactly the reason that I don't post all over the place.
Note to the spammers:
If you have nothing to contribute then please don't post your spam, it is wasing my time sifting through your crap to find anything meaningful in these forums.
As for the "Hearalding the Re-introduction" - Get off your high horse. Jonic Re-introduced the Dahlquist line in 1996. -
Opinions are allowed here correct? I read countless threads with alternate thoughts posted. Is your thread to be exempt from verbal responses, whether they be pro or con?
I don't need listening tips from you nor do I think you are a "run of the mill jackass". I simply stated a comment based on many experiences with Al domes. I could be wrong, but it doesn't matter, it's just an opinion.
The re-entry comment is based on the fact that they did disappear for quite some time if you didn't notice. I own some vintage Dahlquists, so sure I'm looking forward to seeing them on the used market.
Boost my post count....yea, you got me genius....who has an agenda now sir? High horse? Again with personal attack rhetoric. Were you just waiting for the right moment to freak out?
Hey man, have a great life and good luck with your flea market sale.

I don't think it's HIS bias. I've heard plenty, plenty, of these metal dome tweeters and they don't cut it. There's no shortage of audio freaks who feel the same way we do. The Bozak line got re-introduced in the 90's with metal domes and they fell flat on their face.

Just looking at them, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the only resemblance that these will ever have with the original is in name only.
