Has anyone spent any time with this sub? This stuff is so rare to see in stores, and I haven't seen any reviews yet.

... sounds like beautiful. The word "effortless" also comes to mind.
If you haven't seen one yet, give it a little bit and they should be hitting shelves at your local store.Brian Knauss

I've been into two Tweeters here and both of them had subs that didn't work. Was there a defective batch of these sent out, or is that just my luck?

There were some faulty ones sent out. The problem has been remedied and hopefully Tweeter (or whoever else sells them) will have them sooner than later.Brian Knauss

Faulty in what way? -
I posted this about the LSiW in the Speaker section of the forums.
"I have 2 LSi15 (front), LSiC, and 2 LSi7 (rear) attached to a Denon 3805. The other night I replaced the PSW404 with the LSiW sub-woofer.
What a differance!!! The bass coming out now is tremendous. It makes me wonder if the 404 was broken. I am hearing things now that I did not know was there. This is with Terminator 3, my favorite HT DVD, which I must have watched 15 times by now.
Also, I swear the overall sound quality has improved, although I cannot understand how a sub-woofer could do that.
I have the sub-woofer wired inline with the front speakers." -
I breifly heard one at fry's yesterday. They were playing some Audio CD. Three words came to mind after listening for a couple of minutes; Powerful, Clean and Tight, and I can safely say that this is the best Polk sub I have ever heard.-izafar
