This ultra high-end preamp was made from 1989-1998, with an MSRP of $2000. Tubes? How about SEVEN tubes (Raytheon and RCA if you are curious). It features two 6X4W for rectification, a 12AX7 for Phono in, a 12FQ7 for Phono out, a 12AU7 for Line in, a 12AX7 for Line amp, and a 12FQ7 for Line out. The thing has more capacitance under the hood than most amps I've seen.

Features? How about dual mono volume controls, SIX outlets on rear, 2 unswitched, 2 power switched, and 2 outlet switched. How about a TUBE PHONO STAGE, you got it.

Mute function, 0db and -20db switch, Tape Loop, Aux, Phono, CD, Tuner, and Video Inputs. Also features a 'mode' function, with selectable mono, stereo, reverse, left and right. Two pairs of outputs make bi-amping a BREEZE. Tiffany gold rca jacks for all inputs / outputs.

Cosmetics are great to excellent. All lettering on facia and rear is intact. All switches and knobs are straight, and move freely and without noise. I can't find a scratch, bump, dent, scrape - NOTHING. This unit is CLEAN. I truly believe you'd be hard pressed to find a nicer sounding, full featured tube preamp at ANY price.

$625 shipped to your door, double boxed, packed to withstand and atomic blast.

Cheers,
Russ

An audio nut is ALWAYS strapped, it just depends on how motivated you are.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Do I need to look into a financing plan, with easy monthly payments, or get my Walmart on, and let you ****'s put **** on layaway?

Doesn't get much more esoteric, or much more high-end than this fellas. Unload some of the crap, and get your spend on.

I would, if I didn't have a custom Dodd Audio line stage in the works.

Price things about 20% below what they go for on E-bay, that's what his "magic" is...

Well, that and he's honest and packs the item really well so everyone know its a safe deal...

Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them.
