Advertised everywhere they say 800 peak and about half RMS. Well, i get my subs today and on the boxes it is marked 300 PEAK and 125 rms? what is the deal with that?

"Power Handling (continuous) 400 w, Power Handling (peak) 800 w"

That was cut and paste from polks site? where is the true advertising,,,,

I feel mislead....

Yeah, they sent out boxes of 10's I think it was with 125 rms ratings on the box. The specs for the 300.2 amp were also misprinted at 550x1 instead of the actual 450x1.

Polk Audio needs to invest and hire a proof reader! :D

    A proofreader is obvious.

As far as the power rating, I will try 300rms each..

The website spec is correct. Those are 400 RMS subs. I wouldnt go over that though. Momo subs have proven that they arent very fond of overpowering.

    Just ask Cody........6 times!

    a dirty 300 - 350 or a clean 400 - 500 will suffice on those subs.

my audiobahns are bitchy too... they wont handle 650 dirty watts, but they'll eat up 850 clean ones and never complain once about it.

oh well... good thing i've got more amps than i need.
