    OT comment: I *really* wish the minimum search term length here was 2 characters instead of 3. That way you could search on 2A, 2B, 1C, etc. It would make things a lot easier...

    Dan, sounds like you got the 2B Studio version in the black ash vinyl. The easiest way to tell for sure seems to be to pull one of the mid-woofers to see what number it is. 2As used the MW6510 exclusively. 2Bs used MW6503 and MW6511 drivers. The 2Bs were rated as 6 ohm, the 2As as 5 ohm. Most 2Bs seem to have the pin/blade interconnect. My 2Bs have the twin blade interconnect though. I have a pair of the 2As and 2Bs and can't tell any sonic differences. There seemed to be some cabinet sharing going on during the transition from the 2A to 2B versions.

    Agreed on the two character search option.
