Just received this new "At Fillmore East" SACD release from Universal Records today. I wasn't real happy with the "Eat A Peach" SACD release, but this one is awesome. The redbook version always sounded like it had a veil over it, not this one. I'm hearing sounds I never heard before, guitars are super smooth, keyboard/piano are spot on, drums are solid, bass is deep, vocals are crystal clear and sitting in my chair, eyes closed I'd swear I'm at the concert, it's that GOOD!!!

There is a positive review of this SACD in the new S&V magazine.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

If you listen to 5.1, then you might notice that this title does not have a consistant mix. Sometimes the rears are immersive, and at other times the rears are used merely for ambience. But other than that, the sonics are great and I reall like this SACD.

To the best of my knowledge F1 NEVER listens to the MC mix.....but I could be wrong....

Thanks F1, still have not added a universal player to the 2 ch rig, so is this a hybrid disc? Cant really remember last time I listened to a surround disc using the 5.1 track likely was DSOTM though.:D

Just cant get used to the surround mode, expecially when the SDA's are kicking. their sound out. Have been using the Tosh for 2ch, 70 bucks for butt kicking sound, still wonder how a SACD/DVD-A player would sound???? Christ, upgrade bug is calling!!!!!!!!!!
