HT speaker upgrade.
Hello - I am new to the Polk forum but have enjoyed Polk speakers for a long time.
(I still have a pair of SDA 1b's but am currently afflicted with the double whammy of the amp I ran them with (Yamaha m-85) is no more, and wife will not allow "those giant speakers" in the living room with the TV...
Anyway - I currently am running with a very wife friendly set of RM-6600 speakers (all 5), a Polk subwoofer PSW-350 (10"), and an MTX 12" sub (both subs powered)

Current state -
6600 fronts with Polk sub (using sub line level inputs and crossover) set as large.
Center and both rears set as small.
Sub set as yes (with MTX running from LFE output on AVR (Onkyo 777) to line level inputs on sub)

New state -
Adding a pair of LSi7's and an LSiC to the mix. Setup I am thinking of goes like this...
LSi7s' as front speakers with MTX sub running as large. (Should I use line level inputs and crossover on sub to the LSi's or run the LSi's line level and front pre-outs to sub.
Rears still run the 2 RM-6600 speakers I have now, but with the PSW-350 and set them as large.
Set LSiC as small
Set subwoofer as NO.

Is this the best setup you would recommend with my current equipment? My next upgrade will be a separate amp, but that may be a ways off - (depending how the LSi's sound with my AVR. (I called Onkyo and they said my 777 should run a 4 ohm load and not explode, but they made no mention of how it will sound))
Are there other setup options that I have not considered that I should? I currently use my HT for about 85% movies and 15% music. (Unfortunately with a 2 and 4 year old in the house most of my movies lately consist of Dora the Explorer and Thomas the Tank Engine)
Thanks for any help you can give me,
Michael Hand
