RM6005 question.

Hi,

I'm considering purchasing a new, entry-level home audio system and was considering the Polk RM6005. J&R has it for a great price but it doesn't come with the sub woofer. Do I have to buy a Polk sub to do with it or could I go with another brand? Would you recommend this?

Thanks for any help and opinions!

    Welcome to CP,
You can go with any sub you want. Check out www.creativesound.ca www.svsubwoofers.com www.hsuresearch.com www.adireaudio.com

SV subwoofers has a new sub and there will be a pre-order soon, pretty hard to beat the pb10-isd for $400.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm definitely not looking to spend a lot on a sub woofer. I'm looking on E-bay now for something decent and used.

Any opinion on Panasonic audio equipment?

If things don't work out on E-Bay, I'll go and buy a PA sub from J&R. They have great prices!!

Just remember that a SVS or HSU sub will not only make your entire system sound much better, but will be the one piece you need not upgrade if you're thinking of moving past entry level HT in a year or two.

If it is just too far out of your price range for one of these, I believe the Velodyne CHT-10 would do well, which is around $250 IIRC.

If you just want to pick up a little HTInABox sub, I doubt anyone in these forums will give a recommedation for any :)
