I think this would be "sort of."
It is assuming that one will be running a sub for the low frequencies. I've seen other posts about this. I figured they were running those ratings up a bit higher to like 60Hz.

At least they are honest.
Judging from the specs, its a pretty low-budget receiver. Keep THD at .5% or lower (how much lower is irrelevant). Look for full range, ie 20Hz - 20Khz ratings.
A lot of 'cheap' receivers massage the power ratings, but not including that last octave of bass, which is a power hog. I'd be willing to bet you won't get even 50 watts out of it.

right it is a low end receiver, it's the kenwood in my bedroom system only powering to bookshelf JBLs but I never really thought it was 100wpc.
