Eric Burdon and the Animals on SACD

Well I have had this SACD for about a month and I can tell you all that it sucks. The song selection is just fine, with the original album version of SKY PILOT, but the sonics are terrible. The analog to DSD transfer was done by Peter Mew, and he compressed and maximized these songs to all oblivion. The mastering engineer was Bob Ludwig, and he probably did as good a job as he could after Peter Mew got his hands on these songs. This anthology came out the same day that the Herman's Hermits came out, but although the Herman's Hermits SACD suffers from some poor analog to DSD engineering, it actually sounds better than The Animals SACD. My recommendation is to avoid these 2 SACD titles.
