My HP PCU came with little Polk speakers that hook on the side of the monitor. I received no info on these speakers. They must have left it out. Question........ how much volumn can I expect? I have adjusted everything that I can find to adjust to max. I just have very little volumn. No enough to listen to music and even less on the DVD player. I am no techie for sure so be kind if you answer.

in your task bar, in the bottom right you should be able to right click or double click on some type of speaker icon. This will open up your sound card control panel and let you change your volume settings. If this doesnt work go to your start menu, click on settings, then control panel, and find the sound and audio devices. See what settings you can adjust in there for the volume. Hope this helps.

Nope, those suggestions have not helped. I have adjusted everything to the max. There must be some other ways to tweak my system to more volume. Is it an HP thing, or a Polk thing, or a Windows thing, or an USB thing or what?? It is very aggravating.

I had the same problem with my Polk speakers...the issue for me was my sound card. My current soundcard does not put out enough voltage to run those speakers. I hated them anyways, and set up a dedicated stereo for my computer.
This isn't exactly helpful per se, but I feel your pain.
Make sure you are in the speaker output and not the headphone output. Ensure that the "Mute" is not checked in your soundcard menu and the windows control panel.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -
