Two questions:
I AM using a sub with my setup too.
1. For DD or DTS should I be using bipole or dipole. I know dipole is better for prologic.
2. The manual says to set the rears (fx500i) as "small" with DD. Why is this since the speakers can go down to 40hz?

where are your speakers located in your room, along the side walls, or along the rear wall?
if on the sides, should be set to dipole
if on the rear, set to bipole
setting the speakers to small with send anything below 80hrz into the LFE channel and let you sub deal with it, doing this allows the 500's to perform more efficiently at producing the mid to upper ranges...
