Rod "Do you think i'm sexy" Stewart

Yup. he's in town tonight. and i've got tix to see him.

Hope he does all his classic tunes... as well as his more recent standards too. If he only does the standards i'll be pissed off.

I know you're all dying to hear how the concert was. Well. it was.. excellent!!

Rod Stewart has grown up... he still looks much the same he did in the 80's.. but he's matured and you can hear it in his voice and how he takes command of a song.

I guess after 30+ years in the music biz, a guy should have gotten it right by now.. and he certainly did last night.

The show started with bag pipes for about 3 minutes.. awesome sound in a 12,000 seat arena.. that led into the song Forever Young. nice segway (sp).

He played most of his hits.. not al of them of course.. the concert would have been 4 hours longs. ha ha.

As it was he played for a good 2 + hours.

He then went into his standards for the 30's, and 40's. Which he does quite well. It would be tough to sing those kind of songs.. they have been done so many times by so many differnet singers. What makes his version different of course is his raspy voice.

A few highlites where when he sang The First Cut is the Deepest.. nice.. Much better than the current version by Sheryl Crow.

Overall. i was impressed how good he is still.
