Coax cable question...

How can you tell RG58U coax cable and RG6 cable apart? Any ideas?
I am looking to install a new TV antenna, and they say that it needs to be installed with RG6 cable and not RG58U. I have some cable already run in the house, but I am not sure what type of cable it is so.......how do you tell the two kinds apart?
thanks in advance...

I believe RG6 is thicker and stiffer, its better for longer distances.

It should be stamped. If it ain't, replace it.
RG6 has a thicker dielectric and is designed for a larger bandwidth ( normal 2300 Mhz, up to 3 Ghz). If you do replace it, make sure you get the 3 Ghz sweep tested, you'll never have to replace it again, esp if you want it to carry HD signal. I'd recommend getting quad shielded, also, to protect against EM noise.

the cable is not marked "out right"
it is only marked that it is adelphia communications catv (ul) ...our local cable company. The local cable company does carry digital cable, but I am not sure that makes a difference.....
Any idea where I can get 3ghz sweep tested quad sheild cable?

Here's a couple of places you can order it. For around $30, you can get 250 ft. That is alot of coax. Don't forget to ground it when you install. I found the guy who did my sattelite didn't. BIG NO NO!!!
