I have a few mp3 cd's that I've tried to play on my 2900 and for some reason the player is splitting every song up into anywhere from 2-50 second clips........track after track is hacked up so you hear all sorts of breaks in the song. Basically one song is split up into 20 tracks.....

I've checked the CD on my laptop to see if it plays fine here and it does......

What gives?

EDIT: I did just re-burn a CD and it appears to be working fine.......but the same program that I used to burn this CD is the same that was used with the other one that's all hacked up......I'm still curious though why that would happen.....

A couple of things I found:

MP3 Playback: This unit will play MP3 files recorded onto CD-R and CD-RW discs using the ISO 9660 format. Each disc can have a maximum of 600 files. The DVD-2900 is not compatible with the following: packet write software, ID3-Tags, play lists, or MP3 PRO.

    MP3 CD-R/RW (128 or higher kbps recommended)

    Thanks Shell.....

I found that as well, but (at least with Roxio) I have no idea where to specify the ISO 9600 format. It did play another CD with no problem though......wonder if the other was burned as a data cd and the new one was burned as a music mp3 cd.....either way, wouldn't the files play the same?
