How long will the R/T500i speakers still be available? I have the CS400i and just bought the RT2000i speakers from Crutchfield and the long green in the wallet is geting low. Will the FXi speakers be taking the R/T500i's place soon?

As far as I know they already have. I went into buy my CS400i today and the guy said they were discontinued. Thank god he had one more left!

Lax01,
I missed your point....Did you mean the cs400i was discontinued or the r/t500i's? I ordered a cs400i about three weeks ago and Brandnamez keeps saying it's "back ordered". I hope this isn't just a smokescreen for "it's discontinued". I've been a polk owner for 12 years (SDA's) and am new to this forum so I hope this goes through when I hit the submit button... -
For one the speakers are called the f/x500i not R/T500i . Second, the guy at www.graffitiaudio.com (I live near there store) who are authorized dealers said that the 400i has been discontinued. He said this was due to the new models (RTi). As for f/x500i's I have no idea, I was just assuming that they would get rid of them also. Check with you local authorized dealer, or even contact Polk.

i've heard no definite's from local dealer's on the f/x series, but i would imagine that with the FXi30's and FXi50's, that F/x500i's are no longer in production and when what's out there runs out, their gone...

I called Polk today and was told that I should try and get the f/x500i speakers assoon as possible. Polk is still trying to fill open orders but the f/x 500i speakers will no longer be in production.
