Teac CD-P1160 cd player, opinions?

I tried Googleing for it, but only got 2 pages of results and they were all auctions. I have one, and the only thing wrong with it is that the backlight on the LCD screen is gone, so you can only read the screen if you shine a light on it.
It seems as though my BSR 2020MKII is dead.... I only had about 10 hours on it, but the guy I bought it from must've run it alot.... it simply will not recognize the disc when I put it in. I've checked and all the motors work fine, but the laser must be out or something. Anyway, this Teac is what's replacing it. It's probably a pretty cheap source, isn't it?
