Who out ther uses the rt3000p's? To all owners, can you give me the reasons why you bought them?
I have an opportunity to home demo a pair but am a little unhappy with the mid-range, but will still audition them.
Thanks

I've never heard them, but IMHO if the mid range isn't cutting it, then whats the point? You know?

I have them. I think once you have them set up correctly in your home you will have a different opinion. I find nothing lacking in the midrange. Take some time with them you will not be disapointed. Make sure the subs are not turned up to high they have a volume control on the front Polk Audio logo.

I wouldn't pass judgement so quickly. Maybe they weren't set up right, could have been the source...

Take 'em home and try them out. Play with them a little, then decide.

I figured the mid-range problem was due to setup that is why i still want to at least try them. Just wanted opinions to confirm it for me, thanks

I have a pair and i love them. i would buy a second pair for the rears of my home theater if i found the right deal hint hint. like everyone said get them dialed in with a sound meter, make sure the receiver is on large and at least 12 gauge speaker wire. also a hi power receiver and or amp helps too.

Thank you bvette you have given me a glimmer of hope, i have the same amp and dvd player. How do you have the subs hooked up? I was thinking of trying the subs to the L/R preouts rather than the LFE. If things dont go well are you keen on them am glad to help in any way possible. You can pm me and i will give you more details. It will be a couple of weeks till i audition them but will get more inf regarding packaging etc. I am in NZ by the way.
