Any recommendations for subs under $500 from the manufacturers listed below:

Velodyne (CHT-12 or 15)
SVS (PB2+)

My HT room is 22'x15'. Thanks for your inputs.

CSi5 Center
RTi6 Rear Surround
H/K AVR-630

    Under $500 ?

    Well ...

    SVS PB2+ = $1199
    HSU VTF3 = $699
    HSU VTF2 = $499
    Velodyne CHT 15 = $459 ?
    Velodyne CHT 12 = $229 ?

So I would think given your budget at least the top two are not an option ...

    Geez, that was very informative...

BTW, I could get the SVS PB2+ for $700 and VTF-3 for $450. Just FYI.

Try to be more helpful next time...

He was, he replied to your initial post, which made no reference to any discounts (even so, the SVS still isn't in your $500 stated budget).

Try not to be such a dickbump next time.

    Cheers,

Since the PB2+ blows your budget, I'll buy it from you for $800. That way you can raise your budget to $600...
There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time.-Menkin

Next time try to be more SPECIFIC of exactly what it is your asking ...

It appeared from your original question that you didn't have a clue of what any of these sold for. Given that you apparently have an in at SVS or know where you can find a PB2+ used for relatively cheap and that it's still on your list even though your budget is only $500, it's not clear why you even asked the question.

Wow, that's a great deal for PB2. Wish I had known about that earlier...I just bought the Velodyne CHT-12.

    Oh well...life isn't always fair!

BTW, has anyone tried the CHT-12 with Polks? Do they work well together? Most people here seem to like HSU and SVS. They sure are pricey - but are they that much better?
