Hey, looks like I have a good oppurtunity to change jobs by moving up to Oregon. If this happens, it will happen very quickly and I would like to get any relevent info that I would need to know before moving up there. (Good places to live, area colleges, etc...) This would be around the Hillsboro area.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I live in Gresham which is about 30 miles east of Hillsboro. Hillsboro itself is a nice place to live, all sorts of areas are great, You have Portland State University, Lewis and Clark College, University Of Portland, many others, rain here is overrated so don't be fooled by anyone saying all it does it rains, Mt Hood is within 1.5 hours to Hillsboro for skiing, tons of mountainbiking and hiking areas, of course NO sales tax, housing is going up but not outrageous, just ask I can answer. I guess this is a little late howeverMatthew

Great area! My father in-law lives outside of Hillsboro in the country, and we go there about once a year. Not too far to the ocean/ Seaside/ Tillamook area, close to Portland for airports and big city stuff. Really beautiful country. If we didn't live in Idaho, we would move to that area first. Hope things work out for you.

Well, I'll let you know how it works out but it looks like the more likely scenario is a promotion here at TI...There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Well that doesn't sound like a bad thing either!
Good luck either way. Hope everything works out for you.
