O.K. Guys,

For most of us this is a fantasy question and we'd be happy with either.
There are those here who own, or have heard both systems.
Which would you choose to listen to 2 channel music with?

Of course the SDA SRT system also does home theater in, I'm told, an incomparable way.
But does it do 2 channel as well as the 1.2tl's?

wondering,

-Luc

Sure it does, but I would still choose the 1.2TL.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Sorry I have not had a chance to hear the 1.2s. I do however have the SRTs. They are new to me so I am still in awe. I bought them for home theater and they are amazing. I am however more impressed with there musical abilities. I find my self sitting in front of them more for music then movies. If the 1.2s are better then this they must be musical heaven!

I really like the bass handling capabilities of the 1.2tls. which really gets out of the way of the sound stage for me.
    2-channelBelles 22A Pre, Emotiva XPA-2 Gen 2, Marantz SA8005, Pro-Ject RPM-10 Turntable, Pro-Ject Phono Box DS3B, Polk Audio Legend L800's, AudioQuest Cable throughout.

Luc - A few factors for me....size, aesthetics, soundstage, ability to choose my own amplification, onboard SDA, parts....blah blah. I like the SRT, it's an incredible speaker....just not my choice....and I have no desire to own it. I am not planning on buying anymore Polk's, they are just not exciting enough anymore....new SDA's would be nice, but I'm not holding my breath for them either. I'm keeping the 1C's, for now....and simply looking into experiencing some other brands now, can't be a audioslave forever. I would certainly try and pick up a pair of 1.2TL's, but at that point I am 100% done w/ Polk.

Let me add that I don't think that one is better than the other per se, just that the SRT does not fit any mold for me personally. They are BOTH the pinnacle of Polk Audio IMO.

For me I would choose the 1.2TL, 1.2 or the SDA-SRS over the SRT's.
