    Man.

Research a little bit, god knows there are enough posts about the CRS in here. The hand-holding thing on EVERY purchase is getting old.

Check completed ebay sales to see what the market has recently dictated for them, check current sales and see what people are asking.

Figure it out man, or at least TRY to.

FWIW, assuming condition is good to great, it's not a bad deal, if you have the room to put them in and set them up properly.

    Cheers,
    Russ

No really i do lots of research before i post here.. I search e-bay everyday.. But e-bay price, with shipping, is different then local deals with no shipping, getting to try them or look at them atleast.. piece of mind thing. Like the dynakit amp.. I know they went for 250-350 BUT this was mint, but without tubes,.,. so it throws a wrench into the general thinking of worthyness... Like these CRS's, last sets went for 274.00 and 242.00 , but i save on shipping, and its local view first type deal.. so really i just know you guys know SDA's more then anyone and instead of second guessing, why not ask and see what the real world would pay for them if they were a local deal. I offered 250.00 , He said he had a interested party for 300.00... it was a e-bay consignment from a customer, and he just e-mailed me with a cost of $325.00 first come first get.... so thats why i asked.. :)

EDIT: so whats the real world size of these? I dont see in home vintage the CRS model

With stands and cables in good condition, I'd say $325 is fair. I'd see if he would go $300, but I wouldn't feel bad at $325.

Like all things in life, they are worth whatever a seller can get and a buyer is willing to spend. I've gotten deals on some stuff and I've overpayed (to some people) on some stuff. The value of a pair of speakers is not their resale potential.

It's not a great price, but it's far from a ripoff too. If I had the money I'd probably go for it.

That's too bad Faster. Sometimes you spend a quarter but are pleasantly surprised when you listen that you bought a dollar's worth of sound. The CRS+ sound and compete with speakers that cost far more than that asking price. I know its not my money though but man.... local pickup too and not have to worry about shipping and all the headaches? I'd bag them if I could and get the new tweets when you can afford it.

These speakers sound better than some new $1,500 speakers I have heard in stores and they sound BIG too. Much bigger than their size would portray.
