Another Pair Of Advents! w00t w00t

Well, I was helping my step bro look for his BB-Gun in the attic, and I spotted my Dad's other pair of Advents!

So I brought them down (very hard to get 40 pound speakers down from a 10 foot ladder!)

Anyway, I had to knock out the *clay* they had put in there at the video store to put in another tweeter because they blew the original - and I threw that away. BLAH

So I need 1 tweeter and 1 woofer! And I gotta refoam the other woof!

Then I took them outside and sanded them down and all they need now is a clear coat! It looks great!

2 Pairs of Advents, might have to buy a 4 channel amp to stack em or something...I dunno, shall be interesting (I heard stacked advents rock)

    Welp, I sanded all 4 of them buggers down, and put a gloss clear coat on em...

    Then I wrapped up the cabs and spray painted the black part with black spray paint...

    With all that done, they look BRAND NEW (almost) - Cabinets arnt perfect, but are almost perfect.

    Look GREAT!

    Now I just gotta find a Tweeter and a woofer!

    Anyone have any laying around they wish to part out with? Russ? Anyone?

    last time i checked there was 1 advent speaker laying around at a local junk shop. i can check to see if its still there... im not sure what condition the drivers are in so dont get your hopes up. im not even sure if its the right model. looks just like the other advents you have though. IM me if u want to talk more about it.

    The white splotches are the light I used - it is not actually there!

    but it is night time, and I needed good lighting -- pretty good pics actually!

    I don't know my vintage Advents very well, so I'm not sure of the exact parts you need, but here is a potential source of replacement parts, if you can't find 'em on E-bay.
