I just purchased a new home and it has hardwood or laminate floring through out. Just looking for some set-up suggestions to avoid too much echo. I will obviously employ an area rug or 2 but my wife wants to use as few as possible since the reason for the hardwood was to make it easier on my 3 year old son with asthma. So what has worked for you guys?

    In a high-pitched German acent: "Tapestries!" :D

Or curtains, pictures, etc. The furniture in the room will help. Maybe some lamps with big shades.
