Bought me another Crossfire

Well I couldnt stand it any longer so I splurged and got the Crossfire VR302 for my subs. This is rated at 300x1 bridged but the birth sheet claims 350x1 which is about where I wanted to be.
I had to hurry up and install it before my wife got home tho!
I hooked it up to my poor little MTX 8" and.....whoopee-do. It wasnt any louder than with the 150 watts from my Alpine. Well I was pissed and cussing and about ready to rip the thing out but then realized I had a box with 2 JL Audio 8's so I went and got those and hooked it up. SLAM! Holy ****! Night and Day! I guess the MTX being rated at 150 rms didnt have much to offer passed that whereas the JL's rating of 300 has more room to spare.
I am so happy to actually have some real bass finaly and clean too! The only downside is my JL box is in the floor between the front and rear firing down which wipes out most of the legroom in the back seat and its not very stealth. But who cares!? Ive got bass!!
I wouldve like to have gotten the VR402 but the two Ive got now use up all the space Ive got to mount amps under my seat. I could mount them vertically but then they would be right up against the bottom of the seat and that would be really bad in terms of heat and possible fire!
Now Ive got to fix up another amp board and figure out how to fit 2 8's under the seats also!

Big spender? Dumb spender is more like it. Now Ive gotta hope I have a really good couple weeks at work so my comission is pretty good so I dont have to explain to the missus why Im broke when I had more money and was only going to buy 1 amp.
Umm...but Im not scared of her though. Heck no, she knows who wears the pants around here. Why, just let her try and.......gotta go, shes making me do the dishes.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005

Lol. We go by the $20 rule here. If it's over $20 then we ask each other first... Being honest seems to work, but then again we are married...
