Using biwireable receiver with RM6700

I am considering buying the RM6700 package and a sub (probably 303). I have a Denon AVR-2700 receiver. It supports bi-wiring the center, left, and right channels.
Polk recommends running the front, left, and right satellite wires to the sub and then to the speakers. Since I have biwire capabilities, Can I run the lower frequeny speaker wires to the sub and the higher frequency speaker wires to the satellites? Will it sound good?
Also, when you are running the sub with the satellite speaker wires instead of the receivers LFE doesn't the sub lose the Dolby Digital bass.

I am not familiar with that receiver but I believe that you can do that. However, the satellites will be still be receiving a full range signal. It would be better IMO to use the LFE cable, or use the high pass filter/ speaker level input on the subwoofer amp.
The receiver wont be filtering the signal for the top and bottom posts, this would cause double filtering.

You will have to turn off the sub output in the receiver. The bass will be redirected to the main speakers.Graham -

Really? I bought this AVR in 2000 and at the time nothing under $500 supported biwiring and only about 1/2 in the 500-1000 range did.
I've been downsizing my speakers, but there is no way I will give up this AVR. Denon/Polk is the only way to go!

Hmmm ... Maybe I'm just cornfused ... For some reason I thought Bi-WIRING was in the WIRES not in the receiver, ergo the term as in two sets of wires or two split wires to two sets of teminals ...

Bi-Wiring uses two sets of speaker wires for each speaker. The speaker will have two sets of terminals. Bi-amping is when you use a different amplifier for each terminal.

I read the manual on the Denon AVR-2700. It seems that both sets of speaker terminals in the bi-wire pair are putting out the exact same signal. Is this normal with bi-wireable amps?
Also (this is pretty ghetto on Denon's part) the terminals are marked Speakers A or Speakers B. But you can not switch from speakers A to speakers B. Instead A & B are always on. It's suggested that you place the B speakers in another room!

I'm acutely aware of the differences between bi-wiring (which I never do) and bi-amping (which I sometimes do) ...
All amps or receivers by definition support bi-wiring. If you are NOT using the same pair of speaker output terminals from your receiver to drive two pairs of terminals on individual speakers then this more closely approximates bi-amping than bi-wiring.
