Bi-wiring Rti10's using LFE signal

Hi all,
I'm trying to find out if anyone has ever bi-wired/amped their speakers using a the lfe output to an amp to the lower bass drivers.
I think it could eliminate the need for a seperate subwoofer since those lower drivers are pretty bassy. And it would give a little more control over the output.
They're already crossed over at 125k; close to the crossover of an ordinary sub.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

I ran my rt1000's that way for years. It works just fine but not nearly a substitute for a good seperate sub. The last couple of years I put wire jumpers in and I am very happy with that even set to small they put out really good bass. But on the other hand I am not a person to makes excuses for not buying a quality sub.
My PB2+ sets a new standard for what hidden notes lie in the LFE channel.
By the way the rca's on powered speakers are thier for the LFE inputs. Especially speakers promoted for HT. My rt1000p's on the Polk box read HomeTheater Reference Speaker. -
Thanks for the quick reply. Here's my concern though, and maybe you can answer this for me.
When I hook up a single set of speaker wires to either the top or bottom posts, without jumpers, I'm getting some sound out of all the speakers. The majority is where it should be, but there is still a little seeping through. Basically, they're not entirely seperated from each other. Do you know if yours do that too? Seems like it could be a real problem if the 2 amps end up connected to each other through the speaker.
I want to just try it and see if it works, and rely on the amps protection circuitry to cover my ****, but it could make it go boom. -
It depends what speakers your talking about. My rt1000p's can NOT be bi-amped. The second binding post are for the line in on the subwoofer. I believe that is the way most of the powered Polk towers are. Your not sending anything to the second binding post but a SIGNAL. So thier is no leaking of sound with just the first set of post - it operates the speakers minus the sub.

Oh, I didn't realize you had powered subs there. I guess that's not quite the same situation.

I see your speakers now - so back to my orignal answer - thier is no practical way to send an LFE signal via speaker wire.
