If anyone's interested, I'm selling my 404 for $175 plus shipping. It's in good condition with a minor ding on the top, right, back corner. I've tried selling it before with no takers, and this will be the last time. So, if anyone wants it, just let me know. Thanks, and take care :)

Your price seems more than fair. As this is a current model of sub, and it retails for what...$450.
Post some pictures of it and give a description of condition etc. and someone will pick it up.

I agree, a pic and at least an estimate of shipping cost and I might be interested.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Well, got this 404 from Mskeezer yesterday and it showed up a bit dinged. He had UPS pack it and they decided that throwing it in a big box surrounded by peanuts would be okay. Now the sub has two dented corners instead of just the one it had in the first place. Also, I had to dig out two handfulls of peanuts from the baffle, there might even be more up in there, might have to open it up to find out.

The sub works and the new dent is also in the back, so it's not a huge deal, just disappointing.

Anyway, has anyone ever filed a claim with UPS or had any luck? I figure it's probably not worth the trouble, but thought I'd ask.

I have had UPS damage items in the past, however, in my case I was fully satisfied with the remedy they provided, the shipper (seller) will need to actually file the claim, you should keep all packaging material and some pictures of the damage will be useful.

Good Luck and it is definately worth pursuing albeit the PITA work you and the shipper have to go through.
